Arrive
A study to assess the benefit of Aspirin in patients at low risk of cardiovascular disease. To date CPS research has recruited several hundred patients during 2009/2010 to this 5 year project.

NEPTUNE
A study that compares the effect of the combination of two well known drugs used for bladder problems in men, in comparison to the use of one of them on its own.

Studies Completed in 2009
 
Resistant Depression
An Investigator Sponsored Trial - A study of 60 patients who failed to respond to their current antidepressant. Patients participated for 8 months.
 
Tinea Pedis (Athlete’s Foot)
A study to compare a new formulation of a cream for the treatment of Tinea Pedis. CPS Research entered over 350 patients.
 
Throat Lozenge
CPS Research recruited all 225 patients to this 2hour single visit project by the end of March 2009.
 
Alzheimers Disease
CPS Research still has a small number of patients in the long term phase of a dementia project that started in 2006.
 
“Pasqual”
A simple questionnaire regarding patient experience of HPV disease. CPS Research is the highest recruiter in this project.
 
Studies Completed in 2008
 
“SounderSleep Study”
An 8 month, 900 patient study in primary insomnia. Patients were recruited from GPs, and advertisements in newspapers, radio and TV. Data is to be used to give long term efficacy and safety data.
 
“PipCit Depression”
An 8 week “proof of concept” study of a combination anti-depressant in 165 patients.
 
“Future 1 and 2”
The culmination of the registration studies for an HPV vaccine. CPS Research contributed 350 patients to these studies.
